Using this premise, NISS has developed programs or consulted to others that need to control a wide range of risks. With this methodical emphasis on building the systems and structure, NISS clients have seen less frustration, better gathering of data and quicker and more certain response. It becomes a managed process not unlike quality management programs.

Matt Towne has deep experience in working with heavy industry such as foundries, paper mills and tubing plants all the way to the other extreme of light manufacturing such as extrusion, injection molding and machining operations.   These included programs that were partially developed but needed some refinement. This experience also includes working with large organizations that needed to have the safety program built under very trying circumstances such as large OSHA penalties, union unrest or a major change in management. He have worked with educational organizations from MIT to the Monarch School to help control risks unique to their locations and circumstance.

NISS has worked in 30 countries and 46 states. The industrial environment in international locations brings new regulatory challenges as well as diverse employee populations with a very different background and set of values. Matt has assisted in implementing change in these environment when paired with a committed management staff.

The goal is always to have a self-correcting, self sustaining program where risks are identified and tracked to resolution with a solution that permanently resolves the exposure.
